About Me

Kathi Castoro began writing, directing, and producing when she was 15.

Most notably, her previous work includes directing and acting in a multi-media production of FAHRENHEIT 451. Sponsored by Panasonic, and produced with author Ray Bradbury’s blessing, FAHRENHEIT won the Gilbert Cates Award for Outstanding Production.

In his opening night speech, Mr. Bradbury – who would go on to hire Kathi to his own production company – praised the show and called her performance in the role of Mildred, “the best he’d ever seen.” She’s obviously still pretty stoked about that one.

Kathi recently completed work on the first season of the comedy web series, MANIFESTING DESTINY. Which she co-created/wrote/directed and starred in.

Previously, Kathi worked in casting on such shows as THE CLOSER, THE CLASS, and TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES. She spent several years with Anthropologie, running their Selfridges, London location and opening the company’s first continental shop in Paris. She has also worked for DiNovi Pictures, Support Black Theatre, performed at the Hollywood Bowl, and worked as an Associate Talent Manager at Emery Entertainment.

Kathi studied Shakespeare at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and holds a B.A. from UCLA Theatre, where she was awarded the Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme Scholarship.

Kathi is a dual citizen – American and Italian – and has lived in London, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, and Paris. She currently lives in L.A. with her dog, Rebel.
